Her inspirational journey in the Real Estate Industry has made Vivian Risi an icon for Canadian business success. Her Real Estate career began in 1974. It was not long before she achieved award-winning Associate Broker status while working with Canada Trust’s Real Estate Division.

Guided mainly by gut instinct and a very small investment budget, Vivian became the Broker/Owner of the 18 Realtor^®, Richmond Hill office when it merged with Coldwell Banker. Her bold move quickly turned the company around during a recession, transforming the lagging office with a minimal market share into a powerhouse. Today, Your Community Realty offers over 650 Realtor^®, 10 conveniently located offices and a support staff of over 60 to service the needs of its ever growing customer base. Your Community Realty has not only revolutionized York Region’s real estate market but has also set the standard for Real Estate Companies across the country.

One of Vivian’s greatest gifts has been her role in a wide variety of charitable organizations. It is her deeply held conviction to give back to the community. She is supported in this belief not only by her family but by her Realtor^® and employees as well.

Vivian contributes her time, energy and leadership to more than 30 charities a year. Whether its one of the local hospitals, shelters, schools or associations,; Vivian’s passion for giving back goes beyond financial contributions. Vivian is ongoing supporter and contributor to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, and in 2009, Vivian was recipient of the Shelter Foundation’s Philanthropist of the Year award, for her commitment to chairing the Second Shelter, Second Chances Capital Campaign for the Yellow Brick House; an agency providing shelter and outreach to abused women and children.

On November 26th , 2009 Vivian was awarded the prestigious YMCA Peace Medallion. The award recognizes Vivian as an exceptional community leader whose work both influences and inspires the lives of others by creating a more peaceful environment.

From her earliest years, Michelle’s environment was imbued by real estate and land development. Her entry into the real estate industry was, therefore, a natural one. She was born to it.

A consummate student, Michelle maintained a permanent seat on the Honour Roll and the Dean’s list while attending York University. She achieved several degrees and diplomas including Small Business Management, Early Childhood Education (ECE) and a pre-med Special Honours in Kinesiology. Her belief in education and self improvement is deeply rooted. She has accumulated many business and real estate certificates in an effort to maintain her competitive edge. It shows.

A licensed Real Estate Broker, Michelle’s 15 years of experience covers every facet of the real estate industry including bookkeeping, human resources, administration and sales with even a stint as a receptionist. Michelle knows the real estate business. She understands it.

Julie Risi-Careri, Broker

With a passion for real estate that dates back to her formative years, Julie began her career in the family business as a receptionist while completing her studies in Business Marketing and Communications. A licensed Realtor in 1998, Julie’s interest lay in the new homes market where she achieved such designations as Sales Achievement and President’s Gold. Encouraged by these accreditations, Julie worked towards and achieved status as a Real Estate Broker. This has allowed Julie to view the industry and the company through a new set of eyes, and bring greater value to the organization, its realtors and clients.

With her academic training in marketing and 15 years of experience in new home development and sales, Julie ensures the complete development of end to end service’s that the New Home and Condo Corp has to offer as well as the development, implementation and execution of the company’s corporate marketing and communication strategies and initiatives.

Justin Risi, B.A., Broker
Vice President of Investment and Business Development

Justin has been exposed to real estate and development from his earliest days. Some say he took his first steps on a building lot !

As a graduate of York University (Economics and Political Science), Justin shares the family passion for education and self improvement. His studies and constant monitoring of the market have honed his knowledge and expertise in his chosen fields of investment , business and financing.

Already a licensed broker, Justin spent a decade focused on building the infrastructure crucial to brokerage operations: sales, investment, mortgage financing, property management, administration and accounting. All fell under his close scrutiny and what he likes to call “opportunity applications.”

An integral part of the Your Community Realty management team, Justin divides his time between the downtown and head office locations. His vast knowledge and motivational style make him a welcome resource throughout the company.

Justin believes in developing long term alliances and relationships. “Everyone I work with is an extension of my family.”

An avid golfer, Justin is known for his tireless efforts on behalf of local charities. “It’s a family tradition,” he says. “It will continue.”
