• Population: based on the 2016 Canadian Census, the area has a population of 45,837 residents
• Location: the town of Whitchurch-Stouffville is located in the Greater Toronto Area, approximately 50 kilometres north of downtown Toronto, 55 kilometres north-east of Toronto Pearson International Airport, and situated in the mid-eastern area of the Regional Municipality of York on the ecologically-sensitive Oak Ridges Moraine

• Two major railway lines run through Whitchurch-Stouffville: Canadian National Railway’s primary freight corridor, which links Greater Toronto to Northern Ontario and Western Canada and the rail line formerly known as the Toronto and Nipissing Railway, presently owned by GO Transit, operating passenger service to and from Toronto (this line services passengers out of two stations in Whitchurch-Stouffville)
• Per the 2012 York Region Transit Service Plan, York Region Transit Route #9 and #15 have been merged, with a new route plan for #15 being introduced in 2014, connecting Stouffville to Yonge Street in Richmond Hill, as well as future connection for the GO-Station in Gormley
• GO Transit buses operate in Stouffville, with routes travelling south into Markham and to Union Station in Toronto, and with service to the north toward the Town of Uxbridge 

Healthcare and emergency services: 

• Markham Stouffville Hospital – this multi-site hospital, first opened in 1990, later expanded by 385,000 sq. ft. and renovated in 2014, serves approximately 400,000 residents within the communities of Markham, Uxbridge, and Whitchurch-Stouffville 
• Southlake Regional Health Centre – northern Whitchurch-Stouffville residents have closest access to the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, offering advanced cardiac, cancer and thoracic care
• Whitchurch-Stouffville’s policing is operated by the York Regional Police, who are situated in Number Five District, a new Whitchurch-Stouffville community sub-station
